2012 Lakes Region Fine Arts and Crafts Festival
August 25 & 26, 2012
This high quality Festival is held to create an opportunity for talented artists and craftspeople from far and wide to showcase and sell their creative works in the picturesque setting of New Hampshires Lakes Region, while giving residents and visitors a chance to enhance the arts in their lives.
TO ENTER
Acceptance to the Festival is entirely based on jurying four examples of the artist's current work. Artist must provide these examples either as four JPEG images on a CD, minimum resolution 300dpi (use file names that number the images 1, 2, 3 and 4, along with artist's name; Ex: JudySmith1.jpg) OR four 8x10 photo prints, labeled #1-4 with artist's name. Provide written descriptions in the area noted the entry form. Submit slides/photos, fees and application form by mail.
Applications are due April 1.
ELIGIBILITY
Works eligible for the Festival must be original arts and crafts created by the artist exhibiting. Exhibitors may only show work conforming to juried slides. Artists are to display and sell their own work. No commecial kits, imports, dealers or mass produced items are permitted.
Artists work may include painting, drawing, photography, clay, wood, jewelry, glass, fiber (including clothing), basketry, sculpture, leather, paper, metal, floral, and mixed media. All work shown must be the original work of the artist applying, or limited edition reproductions of original works, presented in a professional manner.

The show is held rain or shine.
EXHIBIT SPACE
The Festival is held outdoors in Meredith, among the Meredith Village Shops and the Mill Falls Marketplace. Main Street is closed to vehicle traffic for this event.
Booth spaces are 10 x 10. Artists are responsible for providing their own self-supporting displays, not over 7 feet high. No stakes, nails or other supports may be driven into pavement or walls; no ropes may be strung across walkways. Tables must be covered on all sides. Cartons, etc., must be out of sight. Bring protection from sun or sudden showers. All vehicles must be removed to the specified exhibitor parking area by 8am on the opening day of the Festival.
Overnight security is provided for displays only. Artists are responsible for their own property in the event of loss, damage or personal injury.

- $15 non-refundble application fee

- No refunds made for cancellation
TENURE
Each year we add qualified artists to our Tenure. Those who have exhibited at the Festival for two or more years, and who have complied with the guidelines set for this quality Festival, will be considered for Tenure.
Artists in the Tenure system do not need to submit slides or the application fee. However, to reserve a spot, tenured artists must return the application form with the booth fee of $250 by April 1st.
PROMOTION
The Lakes Region Fine Arts and Crafts Festival is heavily publicized throughout New England, throughout the year. Notice of the festival appears in brochures, print advertising, posters, and on the internet. Held for over 30 years, the Festival is highly popular and regarded as the area's largest show and sale of fine quality arts and crafts.
